OP: What everybody else said actually.. just try to reassure urself before selling sth, or sell it in guru forums(without breaking the rules here either ofc xD) where there's no "Local Chat" to spam in =D

You can't trade in local chat. That's been on the login screen for ages, it goes away every now and then, but it's a rule.

You definitely can and will get banned for trading in local chat.

2) Breaking rules does not get you banned. Getting reported does not get you banned. Getting reports for breaking rules will get you banned though. Once reported, an administrator looks over the logs to see what occurred and makes any bans based on what was found.
3) Ignore Perpetua Gale, as it is someone who thinks they know more than they do, and wants everyone to agree with a theory hatched from thin air with a breeze for support.

If you stop selling in local chat, you should stop receiving bans. If you still receive bans for spamming and are not selling in local chat, make sure you weren't spamming emotes, recruitment messages, whispers, etc.
